Conducting an efficient, cost-effective, engaging and useful virtual POA meeting sometimes seems about as likely as glimpsing a unicorn in an enchanted forest. And yet, successful organizations swear that effective remote learning sessions are real and possible and often the result – not of sorcery or hocus pocus – but of highly specialized interactive technologies. In this session, panelists will unlock the mysteries of exceptional remote learning sessions by providing insights and key takeaways from General Electric’s experience conducting a global POA meeting and highlighting how GE’s Leadership Academy saved over 80% on its global meetings in each of the past 2 years, while driving employee participation and engagement in the remote learning sessions.

In this session, GE’s Paul Lutmer, who championed the use of the technology to evolve the training standards and practices for GE sales and marketing leaders, will reveal how workshop content was made more digestible and actionable as attendees worked at their own pace and during convenient times. This session will also show how GE effectively used technology to connect a global audience through live facilitated sessions following completion of “homework” on each person’s schedule. Drawing upon GE’s experience, panelists will provide practical guidance to organizations hoping to “find the unicorn” and implement interactive technologies to make effective remote learning sessions a reality.
