Matt joined Allergan in 2002. In his role as Director of Training Effectiveness, Matt is responsible for learning strategy and remote/digital training delivery for the General Medicine business unit. His role includes consulting with executive sales management to resolve complex training issues related to large scale sales initiatives including product launches, knowledge gaps and skill development.
Matt has over 22 years of experience working in the pharmaceutical industry, including 17 in Learning and Development. His experience spans sales, management and training. At Allergan, he led the training effort for countless product launches in addition to the training for three sales force expansions, three post-merger sales force integrations and one contract sales force launch. Matt also led an international effort to train a newly created Canadian sales force along with the launch of three products in the Canadian market.
Prior to joining Allergan, Matt worked in multiple sales and training roles at Novartis spanning a seven-year period. In addition to certifications in Organizational Development, Virtual Classroom Training, Hogan Assessments and Insights Discovery, Matt is also a Certified Professional Coach.
Matt and his wife Crissy live in Northport, NY with their children Hayley and Blake. Matt received his B.A. from Rutgers University where he also played varsity lacrosse. He volunteers his time in Northport coaching youth lacrosse.
